You Can Move Mountains!

Positive thinking is when we have faith and trust in the guiding hand of the universe. Faith is belief not based on proof. Confidence, self-assurance, and certainty is having faith. Faith is when we allow everything to unfold exactly the way it should. It’s not about everything turning out the way we want it to. It’s about accepting things no matter how it turns out. When there is absence of fear and doubt, and when we let go of resistance and control, we can learn to trust and have faith.

Insecurity, Fear, and Worry

Standard

Wow… the world is full of insecurity, fear, and worry as proved in one of Maxine’s Crabby Road cartoons.  Thought I would share this one with you today.  Below is what Maxine has learned over the year.  Enjoy!

As we progress through 2015, I want to thank you for your educational e-mails over the past year.  I am totally screwed up now and have little chance of recovery.

  • I can no longer open a bathroom door without using a paper towel, nor let the waitress put lemon slices in my ice water without worrying about the bacteria on the lemon peel.
  • I can’t sit down on a hotel bedspread because I can only imagine what has happened on it since it was last washed.
  • Eating a little snack sends me on a guilt trip because I can only imagine how many gallons of trans fats I have consumed over the years.
  • I can’t touch any woman’s handbag for fear she has placed it on the floor of a public toilet.
  • I must send my special thanks for the email about rat poo in the glue on envelopes because I now have to use a wet sponge with every envelope that needs sealing.
  • ALSO, now I have to scrub the top of every can I open for the same reason.
  • I can’t use cancer-causing deodorants even though I smell like a water buffalo on a hot day.
  • Thanks to you I have learned that my prayers only get answered if I forward an e-mail to seven of my friends and make a wish within five minutes.
  • Because of your concern, I no longer drink Coca Cola because it can remove toilet stains.
  • I no longer buy fuel without taking someone along to watch the car, so a serial killer doesn’t crawl in my back seat when I’m filling up
  • I no longer use Cling Wrap in the microwave because it causes seven different types of cancer.
  • And thanks for letting me know I can’t boil a cup of water in the microwave anymore because it will blow up in my face, disfiguring me for life.
  • I no longer go to the cinema because I could be pricked with a needle infected with AIDS when I sit down.
  • I no longer go to shopping centers because someone will drug me with a perfume sample and rob me.
  • And I no longer answer the phone because someone will ask me to dial a number for which I will get a  huge phone bill with calls to Jamaica, Uganda, Singapore and Uzbekistan.
  • And thanks to your great advice I can’t ever pick up a dime coin dropped in the car park because it was probably placed there by a sex molester waiting to grab me as I bend over.
  • I can’t do any gardening because I’m afraid I’ll get bitten by the Violin Spider and my hand will fall off.
  • If you don’t send this e-mail to at least 144,000 people in the next 70 minutes, a large dove with diarrhea will land on your head at 5:00 p.m. tomorrow afternoon, and the fleas  from 120 camels will infest your back, causing you to grow a hairy hump. I know this will occur because it actually happened to a friend of my next door neighbor’s ex mother-in-law’s second husband’s cousin’s best friend’s beautician!
  • Oh, and by the way…  a German scientist from Argentina, after a lengthy study, has discovered that people with insufficient brain activity read their e-mails with their hand on the mouse. Don’t bother taking it off now, it’s too late.

P.S.  I now keep my toothbrush in the living room, because I was told by e-mail that water splashes over 6 ft. out of the toilet.”

Voices in Your Head

Standard

Many of us have multiple voices in our heads. Sometimes, those voices can be extremely convincing and believable. I want to caution you that there is really only one voice that is authentic and real that you should pay attention to. The voice that speaks to you softly with love and gentleness is the one to trust and believe. This voice works in conjunction with your intuition and will lift your spirit and encourage you to follow your heart.  It will never be demanding or critical, cause fear or disorder, or bring up past issues.  Choose to listen to that quiet, still, small voice. ❤

What Are You Afraid of?

Standard

Fear

Fear is the most unpleasant, distressing, painful feeling anyone can experience. Fear is caused by worry or thought of possible danger, evil, or a threat. Fears may come from personal history and/or can be learned from experiences.  Wikipedia provided the top 10 types in the U.S. by a 2005 Gallup poll and Bill Tancer’s published list in 2008:

“In a 2005 Gallup poll (U.S.A.), a national sample of adolescents between the ages of 13 and 17 were asked what they feared the most. The question was open-ended and participants were able to say whatever they wanted. The top ten fears were, in order: terrorist attacks, spiders, death, being a failure, war, criminal or gang violence, being alone, the future, and nuclear war.

In an estimate of what people fear the most, book author Bill Tancer analyzed the most frequent online queries that involved the phrase, “fear of…” following the assumption that people tend to seek information on the issues that concern them the most. His top ten list of fears published 2008 consisted of flying, heights, clowns, intimacy, death, rejection, people, snakes, failure, and driving.”

By understanding and confronting your fears (also called exposure therapy), you can gain better control of your life. You have the courage to overcome your fears. Most importantly, have faith and trust in God and in yourself that everything will be all right.

Choices

Standard

You are where you are now because of the choices you’ve made. Everything you do in life do it with awareness. Make conscious choices. Make choices based on love and faith rather than fear and doubt. Allow the goodness within you to help guide you to make wise choices. The choices you make create your life. Make your own choices, or you will end up following someone else’s dream.

KARMA

Standard

The law of cause and effect, you reap what you sow, and what goes around comes around.  When will people realize that whatever they do in life, whether it’s something good or something bad, there is always an outcome regarding that action?  If you do something good, the results will be good and vice versa.  It is that simple.  Stay awake people and be mindful of what you’re doing!  When you’re always doing positive things, you’ll have nothing to fear.  You’ll be sittin’ pretty!

Why There is Fear

Standard

We have all experienced fear.  Many people don’t like change because of fear of the unknown. Fear of death is a very deep common fear.  When we have lack of faith, we experience fear.  Fear is the result of being separated or disconnected from the source of our creation.  Once we establish that connection again, we feel more secure and at peace.  The solution to overcoming fear is to stay connected!  I hope you have a calm, peaceful day.
