Put the Pieces Together

Standard

Life is like a puzzle. When all the pieces come together and everything makes sense, you will finally learn personal truth.  There are only a few key pieces to the puzzle, but they are quite significant and life-changing. The most important piece to the puzzle is a positive mental attitude. This is what you believe about yourself, others, and life. Your life will be so much better when you keep your thoughts on the positive side. Although your beliefs, thoughts, and emotions impact your health and physical being tremendously, the other critical pieces are: a healthy diet, exercise, and sleep. What goes into the body should be nourishing and nutritious to keep the body functioning. You must move your body around to keep the positive energy flowing and of course rest to reenergize. The last piece to the puzzle is mindful meditation. Meditation helps you to quiet your mind, deal with your thoughts, and to become more “aware” of your inner most being. Meditation connects your inner power with the Creator/universe/God. This is when you listen to receive guidance, clarity, and direction for life.

Yes or No?

Standard

Some people believe Jesus is God while others believe Jesus is a separate entity from God. Just out of curiosity, for all the Believers, Christians, and followers of Jesus, I would like to know if you believe Jesus is God. Weigh in with your answer. A simple yes or no is sufficient, or you may add your comments. Thank you so much!

Saying Goodbye

Standard

It can be difficult to say goodbye to loved ones who have passed, to relationships that didn’t work out, to children going off to college, to sons or daughters moving out of the house/getting married, to active military personnel leaving to serve their country, close friends or relatives who are moving far away, etc. How do we deal with these types of situations when these people have been part of our lives for many years? We have to remember that death is imminent, and in most other cases, people are actually making these choices for themselves. It is natural to experience separation anxiety at first, but we have to learn to let go and become unattached to people. We can remember the good times we shared and wish them well in their new endeavors. People come in and out of our lives for specific reasons, and no matter what, we have to let them be FREE. It should be comforting to know that everything is as it should be. When we change, so will our circle of influence (people we associate with in life). Life comes full circle and we may cross paths again. To overcome sadness and grief, reach out to God and ask for strength and courage. God is always there for us and always will be.

What Are You Afraid of?

Standard

Fear

Fear is the most unpleasant, distressing, painful feeling anyone can experience. Fear is caused by worry or thought of possible danger, evil, or a threat. Fears may come from personal history and/or can be learned from experiences.  Wikipedia provided the top 10 types in the U.S. by a 2005 Gallup poll and Bill Tancer’s published list in 2008:

“In a 2005 Gallup poll (U.S.A.), a national sample of adolescents between the ages of 13 and 17 were asked what they feared the most. The question was open-ended and participants were able to say whatever they wanted. The top ten fears were, in order: terrorist attacks, spiders, death, being a failure, war, criminal or gang violence, being alone, the future, and nuclear war.

In an estimate of what people fear the most, book author Bill Tancer analyzed the most frequent online queries that involved the phrase, “fear of…” following the assumption that people tend to seek information on the issues that concern them the most. His top ten list of fears published 2008 consisted of flying, heights, clowns, intimacy, death, rejection, people, snakes, failure, and driving.”

By understanding and confronting your fears (also called exposure therapy), you can gain better control of your life. You have the courage to overcome your fears. Most importantly, have faith and trust in God and in yourself that everything will be all right.

Answer this Question

Standard

Does God exist?  Several years ago, I asked myself this question.  I was raised Catholic and said I believed in God, but did I really?  It is difficult for many of us to understand why there are tragedies and so much grief in this world if there truly is a God.  My personal experiences in life have brought me to believe that God does exist and loves us.  The missing link and puzzle pieces have finally come together.  The things I have always craved in life are happening effortlessly for me now.  Why?  Because I have strong faith and belief in God.  Does God exist?  No one can answer that question for you but you.

Affirmation

Standard

Below is a believable, positive affirmation/prayer recommended by guest speaker, Dr. Susan Shumsky, on Manifest Everything Now, Secrets to Effortless Manifestation. Repeat it daily with confidence and enthusiasm (feelings and emotions) to make it more effective.

I am in control.

I am one with God.

I am the only authority in my life.

I am divinely protected by the light of my being.

I close off my aura and body of light

To the lower astral levels of mind

And I open to the spiritual world.

Thank you God and so it is.
