Yes or No?

Standard

Some people believe Jesus is God while others believe Jesus is a separate entity from God. Just out of curiosity, for all the Believers, Christians, and followers of Jesus, I would like to know if you believe Jesus is God. Weigh in with your answer. A simple yes or no is sufficient, or you may add your comments. Thank you so much!

Path to Power

Standard

Your whole life revolves around what is going on inside of you.  What you are thinking, what you are believing, what you are feeling, what you are intending, what or who you are connecting with spiritually, and what you are physically putting into your body.  Your inner world is attracting your outer world.  The path to power begins with awareness.  Only when you become ‘aware’ of what needs to be changed within yourself can you make changes in your life. As always, positive changes bring positive results.

Quit Your Whining

Standard

Complaining will get you nowhere, but action will get you everywhere ~ dp.  When you keep complaining about what is not working in your life, you will continue to attract more problems. Quit focusing on the problem, and figure out what you can do to change the situation. Start taking the necessary steps to resolve the issue, and everything will flow accordingly.  Take action and believe that things will work out. You will see how quickly your life will turn around!

Some Humor

Standard

Laughter is the best medicine. This one is cute, and I hope it makes you smile.  Here is a little bit of humor for your day!

No dictionary has ever been able to satisfactorily define the difference between “complete” and “finished.”  However, during a recent linguistic conference, held in London, England, and attended by some of the best linguists in the world, Samsundar Balgobin, a Guyanese linguist, was the presenter when he was asked to make that very distinction.

The question put to him by a colleague in the erudite audience was this: “Some say there is no difference between ‘complete’ and ‘finished.’ Please explain the difference in a way that is easy to understand.”

Mr. Balgobin’s response: “When you marry the right woman, you are ‘complete.’ If you marry the wrong woman, you are ‘finished.’ And, if the right one catches you with the wrong one, you are ‘completely finished.’”

His answer received a five minute standing ovation.

The Power of Music

Music can affect us emotionally and physically.  If you enjoy listening to piano music, this is a beautiful piece:  Variations on the Canon by Johann Pachelbel with arrangement by George Winston.  I give credit to my brother (thank you Tony) for sending me the link.  Relax and listen….  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hydo5gJP22o.

Greatest Teacher

Standard

Do you ever wish you could go back to a younger age in life?  I’ve heard many people say they wish they were younger but only if they knew then what they know now.  What do you know now?  Have your learned from your past experiences?  Experiences can sting us and teach us not to do that again or positive experiences can motivate us to keep doing what we’re doing.  We learn more from our experiences than anything no matter if they’re good or bad.  Experiences are our greatest teachers.  Oscar Wilde wrote this great quote:

“Experience is the hardest kind of teacher. It gives you the test first and the lesson afterward.”

Voices in Your Head

Standard

Many of us have multiple voices in our heads. Sometimes, those voices can be extremely convincing and believable. I want to caution you that there is really only one voice that is authentic and real that you should pay attention to. The voice that speaks to you softly with love and gentleness is the one to trust and believe. This voice works in conjunction with your intuition and will lift your spirit and encourage you to follow your heart.  It will never be demanding or critical, cause fear or disorder, or bring up past issues.  Choose to listen to that quiet, still, small voice. ❤

Marianne Williamson

Standard

Here are some great quotes by American spiritual teacher, author, and lecturer, Marianne Williamson:

The practice of forgiveness is our most important contribution to the healing of the world.
Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognize how good things really are.
We are not held back by the love we didn’t receive in the past, but by the love we’re not extending in the present.

We think we need to understand people to know whether or not they’re lovable, but in fact until we love them we can never understand them.
